On Saturday September 7th the Freeborn Area Soil Health Team will be leading a Soil Health Journey Bus Tour! Stops along the tour will include visiting farms at 3 difference experience levels of using cover crops and reduced tillage. Discussions at each of the stops will include economics of management, the pros and cons of change, equipment modifications, herbicide and nutrient management, and popular soil health demonstrations. Busses will depart from Ellendale, MN at the old gas station of the East side of I-35 at 7:30 am. The event is FREE of charge and pizza will be provided for lunch by the soil health team from Casey’s in Ellendale. There will also be a ticket raffle for a trip to the 2019 Conservation Tillage Conference in St. Cloud. The package includes tickets for all 3 days of the conference and 2 nights in a hotel which is a $540 value! Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the bus tour.
