mymn is about you.
And you're one of us. We love Minnesota and care
about keeping it a great place to live and work.
But we've got some challenges. Tough economic times call for fresh
thinking, not the same old tired rhetoric.
You've got ideas.
And we want to hear them. Look around, have some fun and tell us
what's on your mind.
We're listening.
And we'll make sure others are, too.

“How Are You Going to Pay For It?”
FEATURED SPEAKER :
John Monson, Vice President,
Rural Capital Network, AgStar Financial Services
How are your going to Pay for it? Eight words that have stopped many
projects, big and small, dead in their tracks. John Monson has heard
the question many times before in his career which started as a
congressional aide to Arlen Stangeland which led to a county USDA
Farm Service Administration (FSA) executive director position. He
advanced within USDA-FSA and was eventually appointed the state
executive director. Monson was hired by AgStar in 2006 to lead the
institutions Rural Capital Network team, which helps keep rural
communities healthy and prosperous by supporting community and
economic development, infrastructure needs, and revitalization
projects. The team works with community and industry leaders, rural
businesses and other financial institutions and individuals to
develop the best financial solutions for rural communities to
leverage existing, locally-based resources and skills to put these
programs and facilities in place.
