Golfing for a Stronger Freeborn County
The Albert Lea–Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing brings business and community leaders together for a day of connection, friendly competition, and meaningful community impact.
More than a great day on the course, this annual event helps create new opportunities for Freeborn County students. Proceeds from the Golf Outing support the Freeborn County Community Promise Scholarship at Riverland Community College.
Investing in Local Students—and Our Shared Future
The Freeborn County Community Promise Scholarship helps eligible Freeborn County high school graduates pursue a college education at Riverland Community College with fewer financial barriers.
The scholarship can provide support for up to 65 credits in any Riverland program, at any campus or online. As a last-dollar scholarship, it helps cover eligible tuition and fees that remain after other financial aid has been applied.
By supporting the Chamber Golf Outing, local businesses and community members are helping students:
- Pursue a college degree, diploma, or professional credential
- Prepare for meaningful, in-demand careers
- Build their futures closer to home
- Develop the skills needed by employers throughout our region
This investment benefits more than individual students. It strengthens our local workforce, expands access to education, and helps build a more vibrant future for Freeborn County.
Join Us on the Course
Each year, Chamber members, local employers, community partners, and friends gather for an enjoyable day of golf, networking, and community support.
There are several ways to participate:
- Register a team or individual golfer
- Become an event sponsor
- Host an activity or special experience on the course
- Contribute prizes or other event support
- Help spread the word about the scholarship and its impact
